True Love

I sometimes feel lonely and lost
When I've been tricked or double crossed
It must be worth pain
I've witnessed the gain
I'll find it no matter the cost

If in public eyes I am caught
And they say it's not what I ought
I'll always believe
In what I conceive
And I'll follow through what I am taught

Someday I'll be fearless and brave
My own road of gold will I pave
Not wander around
Until I am found
Alone yet unscathed in my cave

But until I conquer my fears
And subject myself to the tears
I won't know the feel
Of true love when real
Which lasteth forever in years

Though past lies and pain I do cart
I'll erase and a new slate start
Let comfort surround
My ties be unbound
The day that I open my heart
